Over-the-Rhine's vibrant community features residents, businesspeople and entrepreneurs of a wide variety. From grassroots to impromptu events to street musicians and artisans, there's the Over-the-Rhine Chamber of Commerce, the Over-the-Rhine Foundation, Enjoy the Arts, an artists' cooperative, and the Art Academy of Cincinnati, while applause follows the Know Theater Tribe and Ensemble Theater. Merchants of Main Street include a wide array of shops and storefront businesses, and music rules at the bars and clubs of Main Street Live!
Events include the monthly Final Friday Gallery Walk along North Main Street, Second Sunday marketplaces from May thru October, Holiday Walk on Second Sunday of December, Holiday tree lighting and luminaria at Washington Park, and the annual Bockfest parade (Final Friday of February) kicking off the weekend festival celebrating the early springtime tapping of the first keg of bock beer and a celebration of Cincinnati's beer brewing tradition.
